Larry Moyle

Larry was born on March 12, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Carl and Donna (Sargent) Moyle. He attended Central Community School, Elkader, Iowa. Larry moved to Minnesota at the age of 26 and shortly after that he met Clara Carlson. Larry and Clara were united in marriage on July 23, 1977 at Esther Lutheran Church in rural Parkers Prairie. Following their marriage, the couple resided in rural Eagle Bend area. During his life Larry worked for: Pizza Hut, KFC, Home Crest, and was currently employed at Pizza Ranch at the time of his death. He enjoyed visiting with the customers. Larry was blessed with three children and four grandchildren. He was a very devoted to his family and his most treasured possession was his children. He enjoyed playing football in the yard with his kids when they were younger. As they got older they would go on trips to different states, attended auto shows in the Twin Cities and went to the Minnesota Zoo. His favorite place was the Corvette Factory in Bowling Green, KY. He did craft shows with his wife and liked visiting with the people. After the death of his son, Carl, the family started the Carl Moyle Memorial Fund which was very important to him. They had a snowmobile run in February which he was a part of. He enjoyed going to the North Shore and taking pictures of the scenery. He also loved to grouse hunt with his two English Setters: Shadow and Laurel. He liked to trout fish and you could find him fishing on the public docks at Lake Geneva or Lake Victoria. Larry will be remembered for the love of his wife, children and grandchildren. Larry died on Saturday, May 17, 2008 of a heart attack. He is survived by his wife, Clara of 30 years; two children: Michelle (Steven) Werk of Donnelly, MN, and Byron Moyle & Kat of Zimmerman, MN; three grandchildren: Zachery Nelson, Nautica Johnson, Gavin Moyle; brothers: Harford (Imogene) Springfield, MO, Elwin (Blanche) of Dubuque, IA, Gene (Shirley) of Ionia, IA; sister, Darlene (Wallace) Tolstad of Springfield, MO; mother-in-law, Louisa Carlson of Eagle Bend, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Carl; grandson, Mitchell Casperson; parents and brother, Carl Moyle Jr. Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 22, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at the Esther Lutheran Church in rural Parkers Prairie with Rev. Donald Reisig officiating. Pallbearers were Byron Moyle, Steven Werk, Morley Carlson, Larry Carlson, Crist Robinson, Mike Erickson, Mike Rumminger and Everett Robinson. Burial was at the Esther Cemetery in rural Parker Prairie. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home.
