Larry James Schulz was born on October 5, 1945 in Spring Valley, MN; the son of Harold and Edna (Meyer) Schulz. He graduated from High School in Spring Valley, MN. He enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served his country for 3 years. He attended Mason City, MN where he earned a degree in Computer Programming. In 1970 he went to work for Land O? Lakes where he has worked since. On November 25, 1995 Larry was united in marriage to Jacquelyn (Felton) Leitner at their home in South St. Paul. They bought a home in Alexandria in 1999 and moved there in 2004. On August 1, 2007 Larry received Jesus as his savior and was baptized in Lake Darling. Larry was very loyal and dedicated to his work and his family. His free time was spent reading, gardening, boating, and working on improving their home. Larry died on December 25, 2009 at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria at the age of 64. He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie; mother, Edna Schulz of Spring Valley; step-daughter, Ginger Perzichilli of White Bear Lake; grandchildren, Brittany, Bailey, and Benjamin Perzichilli; brother, Thomas Schulz of Spring Valley; sister, Sally Wagner of Rochester; nephew, Eric Wagner and niece, Jessica Wagner. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Grace Church in Alexandria with Reverend Craig Dahl officiating. Interment was at Geneva Cemetery in Alexandria. Casket bearers were Tom Schulz, Skip Felton, Tom Felton, Doug Thompson, Mark Wakins, and Mark Godfrey. Honorary casket bearers were all of Larry?s Co-Workers at Land O? Lakes. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
