Larry A. Taylor Larry Allan Taylor was born on February 10, 1944 in Thief River Falls, MN, the son of Lloyd and Edith (Vraa) Taylor. Larry lived in Thief River Falls and around the Grand Forks, ND area with his family. While growing up as a child he had a pet lamb named Stubbins and pet pig named Porky. He graduated from Midway high school in Gilby, ND and then completed a machinist program at the St. Cloud Vocational Technical College. Larry worked for Columbia Gear for a short time and then moved to Alexandria where he worked for the Doege Company. He later started his own landscaping business. He also cut, split, and delivered firewood to many customers over the years in the Alexandria area. Larry loved his coffee and visiting with friends at different restaurants and caf�?s in Alexandria. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially enjoyed feeding and watching birds around his home. He liked to fish, watch sci-fi movies and voice his strong political views. He found a special friend (Rhennea Johnson) and loved spending time playing cards, drinking coffee, and talking with her, for the past nine months. Larry was always thoughtful of others and loved to see his grandchildren smile. He was a loving and loyal brother who would go out of his way to help others. Larry enjoyed many outdoor activities with his grandchildren. He would often be found giving candy to others which included his neighbors, friends and grandchildren. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him including his cat Tommy. Larry A. Taylor died on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at his apartment at Bethany Manor I at the age of 67 years old. He is survived by his children Chris (Brian) Hastings of Alexandria; James (Natasha) Taylor of Alexandria; Carol (Miles) Jensen of Arkansas and Linda Scott of Florida; grandchildren Kirsten, Ferd, Bryce, Brooklyn, Cody, Trent, Orie, Cara, Kayleigh-Jo; great grandchildren Madden, Austin, and Trevin; brother Donny and sisters Gail and Ila Mae. A memorial service was held on Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Grant Aaseng officiating.
