Lee Hockert

Lee B. Hockert was born on January 28, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN.  The family moved to Sauk Centre in 1946 and he graduated there in 1956.  Lee married Karen A. Hockert in 1968.  They have five children: Katie (Wei Seng) Won, Wayzata, Shawn (Miranda), Somerville, MA, Thomas (Laura), Stillwater, Amy and Jin (Brad) Wagner.   Grandchildren: Brandon and Adelle Won, Andrew and Niveen Hockert, Isabela and Noah Hockert, Andrew and Megan Wagner.  Lee worked in public, private and corporate accounting in the Minneapolis area until he moved to Alexandria where he started his public accounting firm in Alexandria in 1973.  During that time, Lee was very involved with his professional associations, Knight’s of Columbus and the Alexandria Rotary Club.

Lee died on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Alomere Health at the age of 82.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:30 AM on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria.  Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at the Anderson Funeral Home prior to the service.  A live stream and recording of the service will be available 12:30 PM on Saturday, January 9, 2021, on the funeral home website.  To protect the safety of all, masks will be required.
