Lesley “Les” Kevin Linn was born on February 14, 1958 in Crookston, Minnesota. Les never truly went by Lesley and no one, except his mom, was allowed to call him that. Les moved back and forth from Arizona to Minnesota for many years until one day, he decided to stay put in Minnesota for the rest of his life. Les met the love of his life, Debra Lorsung, in Minnesota. The two were united in marriage on May 16, 2001 in Minnesota. Les has 3 daughters biologically but he has 7 in his heart. Les and Debbie took in two of their grandchildren, Savannah and Trinity, when they were very young. The girls became their world. Les helped raise them as if they were his own and wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Les moved his family to Glenwood, Minnesota where they would live out this new chapter of their lives. Les then decided to pursue a career in trucking and attended Alex Tech. Les first started to work as a trucker. Les first started to work as a trucker for Anderson Trucking Service (ATS). He only worked for the company a few years. Not long after, he started working for Donnelly Truck Service (DTS). Les stayed with DTS until his passing. He loved driving for them and was bummed when he could no longer drive. In late September, Les was diagnosed with stomach cancer. In October he found out he was stage 4. Les always kept an open mind about everything. He didn’t let his cancer slow him down; it just changed his direction of life slightly.
Les loved to be around his family and friends, even if family time meant yard work. He also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings, even when it hurt to. During the winter, les loved to ice fish. He especially loved to ice fish with his best friend, Jeff Bruns. Les also had a love for music, whether it was Ozzy Osbourne, Tom Petty, or Poison, he loved it all. Music always filled him with joy and put him at ease. He shared his love of music with his wife and girls especially. Having them promise to never forget his favorite bands and to always play them. Les also made the best pancakes and the biggest bonfires.
On Thursday, November 7th, 2019, Les went to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 61. On this day, the most caring and hard-working angel was gained.
