Lillian Mary Albee was born November 4, 1939 in Marshall, MN, the daughter of Lloyd and Mary (Lanoye) Albee. Lillian grew up in several communities throughout Minnesota before moving to Marshall, MN. She graduated from high school at Marshall. On May 19, 1960 Lillian was united in marriage to Marvin ?Bill? Eblen at Osakis Presbyterian Church. The couple made their home in Hudson Township near Forada, MN. They were blessed with seven children. Lillian worked with Bill helping operate the family business, Eblen Construction and the family farm. One of her duties with Eblen Construction was bookkeeper, a job she never retired from. Following Bill?s death in 1997 Lillian continued as the company?s bookkeeper and remained a longtime resident of the Forada area. Lillian was kept busy raising her children. She also spent time sewing, dressmaking and crocheting. She enjoyed selling her craftwork at craft shows. One of Lillian?s joys in life was making trips to the casinos and shopping along the way. She loved playing Bingo. Special to Lillian was the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. On Thursday, June 7, 2012 Lillian died at the age of seventy-two years. Her parents; her husband, Marvin Eblen; and one grandson, Zackary Stormo, preceded her in death. Lillian is survived by her children, Lloyd Eblen, Elmo Eblen, Billy Eblen, Debbie Bengtson and husband, Dan, Lee Eblen and wife, Sarah, Gail Massmann and husband, Rod, all of Forada, and Cindy Stormo and husband, Peter, of Rice, MN; grandchildren, Terry Anderson and wife, Holly, Shannon Suchy and husband, Ryan, Dustin Bengtson and wife, Stacy, Carrie Eblen, Amanda Eblen, Sean Eblen, Jordan Massmann, Abbie Massmann, Ryan Massmann, Brian Eblen, Andrew Stormo, and Aubrey Eblen; great grandchildren, Allie Anderson, Eli Anderson, Avery Suchy, Stella Bengtson and Kaidence Terhaar and one sister, Joyce Eblen and husband, Roy, of Staples, MN. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Rev. Wayne Erickson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Hudson Cemetery near Forada. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home.
