Linda Kalb

Linda Marie was born on July 31, 1952, in Minneapolis, Minnesota the daughter of Joseph and Marianne (McDermott) Caldwell. She attended Osseo High School and graduated in 1970. Linda furthered her education at the University of Minnesota receiving her X-Ray Technician Degree in 1973 and moved to Alexandria where she got a job at the Douglas County Hospital.
On November 29, 1975, Linda married Rudolph Kalb in the Twin Cities. After their marriage they continued to live in Alexandria where they raised their two children, Brian and Jennifer. For many years Linda worked as an X-Ray Technician and eventually became the Director of Radiology in 2003 for DCH and later CDI. She retired in 2009.
Linda will be remembered as a person who was there for her family and friends. Guiding them and giving advice. She was a very patient person who took the time to build people up, lead them and help them find their way. She was known for standing up for what she believed in and what was right.
Linda loved quilting, fishing, camping, traveling to National and State Parks and playing with her grandchildren.
Linda passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. She is survived by her husband, Rudy; son, Brian (Mandy Mikel) Kalb of Starbuck; daughter, Jennifer (John Adams) Kalb of Zimmerman, MN; grandchildren: Jayden, Jazmyn, Jett, Juliet, Devin and Hunter; father, Joseph Caldwell of St. Michael, MN; brothers: Brian Caldwell of Buffalo, MN, Joe (Debbie Strong) Caldwell of Pittsburg, PA; niece, Krystal Caldwell.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marianne; brother, Michael.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria. Burial will be at the Birchwood Cemetery in Pine City, MN. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home. www.andersonfuneral.net
