Liz Cook

Elizabeth Ann Cook “Liz”, age 57 passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 peacefully at her home following a courageous battle with Cancer.

Liz was born to Fritz and Donna Southerling August 22, 1962. She grew up in Alexandria, and graduated from Jefferson Senior High School in 1980. On August 4, 1981 Liz married Irvin Cook they made their home near Osakis. Over the years Liz worked in various places most recently Casey’s Convenience Store in Alexandria. Regardless of where she was or what she was doing one common thread was always her role of caring for others. Liz loved people, and they loved her back.

Liz is survived by her husband of 38 years; Irvin; two sons Jason (Erica) of Brandon, MN and Jeremy (Mandy) of Alexandria, MN; Grandchildren Cheyne & Casey Cook of Alexandria; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Liz was welcomed to heaven by her parents Fritz & Donna, Sister Kimberly Quinn, and Granddaughter JaLysa Cook.

A Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Thursday, January 30 at the Anderson Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Liz’s life will be held on Friday January 31, 11:00 a.m.  with visitation one hour prior to the service at New Life Christian Church in Alexandria, MN. Interment will be at Nelson Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers are her Grandsons.
