OBITUARY

Lois (Leseman) Stanger Dillon

Lois Lesesman was born on September 21, 1935, the 2nd of ten children in the Arthur and Hazel (Good) Leseman family from International Falls, MN. She married Dean Stanger in St. Cloud, MN. They moved to Alexandria where they raised two daughters Terri and Deanna. In 1978, Lois married Robert Dillon and then moved to Texas until returning to Minnesota in 2005.

Lois was very active with the American Legion Auxiliary serving as President. She also was involved with the Girl Scouts, taking girls on several canoe trips down the Crow Wing River. Lois enjoyed life and tried to make the most of every moment. She had a deep inner strength and will be greatly missed by her family. She was a wonderful cook and her family meals will be talked about for years to come.

Lois died on November 5, 2014 at her home with her family by her side, after a brief, but valiant battle with cancer at the age of 79 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Dean Stanger and Robert Dillon, and brothers Kenny Leseman and Jim Leseman. She is survived by her daughters Terri (John) Moen of Lowry and Deanna (Steve) Feldner of Minneapolis; granddaughters Tami (Brad) Greenwaldt of Raymond, Heather (John) Vinje of Maple Grove, and Amanda Pederson of Minneapolis; grandsons Michael Moen of Lowry, and Neil (Amber) Pederson of Minneapolis. She has four great granddaughters and five great grandsons. She is also survived by her brothers Bud (Margaret Ann) Leseman, Bob Leseman and Jack (Terry) Leseman and her sisters Mary (Bill) Sadler, Nina Rosendahl, Joan Mann, and Norma Jean Tilander.

A time of gathering was held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Anderson Funeral Home. A Private Family Memorial service was held. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred the Hospice of Douglas County.
