Lois "Dolly" Florence Wildman

Lois “Dolly” Florence (Johnson) Wildman was born on November 5, 1930, in Tracy, MN to Hans and Leona (Bliese) Johnson. She was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Milroy, MN and was confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Culdrum Township in Morrison County. When Dolly was 12 years old, the family moved to Swanville, MN, where she graduated from high school. Dolly met the love of her life, Gerald Wildman at a dance and they were married on March 31, 1949 in Swanville, MN. The couple was blessed with two sons, David and Randy. In 1958, the family moved to the Glenwood area. Dolly worked on the farm and worked from home raising their two sons until they were grown. After that, she worked at 3M until 1976.

Dolly and Gerald bred quarter horses and were members of the American Quarter Horse Association for over 50 years. They were honored with an award from AQHA, Amarillo, TX, for breeding Registered Quarter Horses for over 50 years. Dolly and Gerard also enjoyed time together dancing and ice fishing as a family. Dolly was a quiet and easy-going woman who loved to play cards and socialize.

Lois "Dolly" Wildman died on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at the Minnewaska Lutheran Home at the age of 92. It was a peaceful end for an amazing and peaceful woman. She is survived by sons, David (Leila) Wildman and Randy (Mary) Wildman; grandchildren, Tara (Andy) Berger, Tanya Bryan and fiancé Jason Root, Jared (Kacie) Wildman, Jason (Kristi) Wildman, and Ryan (Chelsey) Wildman; great grandchildren, Ella, Nikolas, Gavin, Jaxon, Declan, Danika, Miles, Avery, Alannah, Caden, and Bella; sisters-in-law, Elaine Johnson and Irma Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. Dolly is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Wildman; sisters, Sally Gilb, Elaine Wegner, Dort Nelson; and brothers, Norman Johnson and Mike Johnson.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, on Friday, March 10, 2023, at the Anderson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the Anderson Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Kinkead Cemetery.
