Lorraine D. Mrnak a beloved wife, step-mother, aunt and friend passed away at Bethany on the Lake on Friday, August 23, 2024 at the age of 96.
She was born Lorraine Jeanette Linster on September 21, 1927, the daughter of John and Caroline Linster. She was raised in Millerville, Minnesota.
Lorraine was united in marriage to Edward Drahos on June 22, 1948. The couple lived on Maple Lake outside of Forada for 50 years. During this time she enjoyed gardening, playing cards, doing puzzles but most of all fishing and entertaining family and friends. She was also a member of the Forada Senior Citizens Group. Edward died in 1989.
On July 25, 1995, Lorraine married Ben Mrnak. After their marriage they moved to Bryant Street in Alexandria. They enjoyed being with friends, family and frying fish for everyone.
Lorraine had a passion for life. Her warm and loving personality brightened the lives of all who knew her. God bless her memory.
She was preceded in death by both her husbands, Ed & Ben; parents, brothers: Ray & Al; sisters: Theresa Gabor, Marion Zaviska, step-daughter-in-law, Diane Mrnak, Step-daughter, Nancy Mrnak McKinley.
Lorraine will be deeply missed by her surviving family members. Her nieces: Carol Thesing of Brainerd, Marilyn Kroupa, Diane Bristlin, Jalaine Bergner and Charlene Walker who all grew up next door to Lorraine; step-children: Dorothy Munson, Roger, Jerry & Linda Mrnak and their families, along with many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, 10:00 -11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
