Lorraine Schlosser

Lorraine Anna was born on July 22, 1921, in Belle River Township, the daughter of William and Ida (Grundei) Hendricks. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Belle River. Lorraine was united in marriage to Robert Schlosser on October 19, 1948, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Belle River. The couple farmed in the Carlos area where they raised their five children. Lorraine was a member of the St. Ann?s Sodality, and the neighborhood birthday club. She enjoyed needlework, embroidery, quilting, playing cards, gardening and visiting with neighbors. The couple lived and farmed in Belle River for fifty-eight years before moving to the Osakis Community Home for the past two years. Mrs. Schlosser died on Wednesday, September 17, 2008. She is survived by her husband, Robert; five children: Norman of Carlos, Donald & wife, Dawn of Carlos, Beverly Johnson & husband Rick of Alexandria, Ken & wife, Laurel of Carlos, Janice Busch of Bemidji, MN; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, brother, Lloyd Hendricks & wife, Darlene of Osakis, sister, Evelyn Miller of Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Ryan Johnson; two brothers: Marvin and Ray, sister, Gladys Fearing. Parish Prayer Service was held on Thursday, September 18, 2008, 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, September 19, 2008, 1:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father Ralph Zimmerman officiating. Pallbearers were her grandchildren: Dennis Schlosser, Jeff Schlosser, Stephanine Johnson, Aaron Schlosser, Angie Schlosser, Andrea Carstensen, Ashley Schlosser, Brittany Schlosser. Burial was at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Belle River.
