OBITUARY Louella Elvira Myhr was born on August 11, 1912 in Moe Township, MN, the daughter of Frank and Julia Foslien. Louella was baptized and confirmed at West Moe Lutheran Church near Brandon, MN and attended District School #8. She worked in Minneapolis and Alexandria before marrying Harold Myhr on September 25, 1937 at the West Moe parsonage. Louella and Harold rented various farms before purchasing Harold?s home farm in 1943. Together they farmed until October of 2000. Louella was a member of Trysil Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school. She was also involved with Ladies Aide and other church activities. When the Trysil Church closed in 1962, they joined First Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Louella enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting and reading. She also made many quilts for family and friends to enjoy. She lived at Bethel manor for 10 years before moving to Edgewood Vista in November of 2010. Louella E. Myhr died on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Edgewood Vista in Alexandria at the age of 101 years old. She is survived by her son, Luther (Jan) Myhr of Farwell, MN; daughter, Deanne (Omar) Gustafson of Alexandria; Grandchildren, Desirlee (Jon) Webb of TN, Todd (Julie) Myhr of Carlos, MN, Scott (Susan) Myhr of Alexandria, Craig (Tina) Gustafson of TN, and Brian Gustafson of TN; Great Grandchildren, Ashlee (Taylor) Walker of TN, Baylee Laman of TN, Stephanie (Ryan) Swiontek of Alexandria, Sara Myhr and Ryan Myhr of Carlos, Dalton, Owen, and Brady Myhr of Alexandria, Taylor Gustafson of TN and Grace Gustafson of Alexandria; Great Great Grandchildren, Kinlee Walker of TN and Carter and Aubree Swiontek of Alexandria; sister, Fyllis Flannery of Minneapolis; sister-in-law, Betty Foslien of Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold Myhr, 5 sisters, Martha, Gertrude, Clarenza, Irene, and Doris, 5 brothers, Philip, Conrad, Reuben, Norman, and Frank II, Great Grandsons, Daniel and Jessi Laman, Great Great Grandson, Hudson Walker. A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria with the Reverend Marilee Bergerson officiating. Randy Morken was the organist and Paula Odland was the soloist. Interment was in Trysil Bethesda Cemetery near Holmes City, MN. Casket Bearers were Todd Myhr, Scott Myhr, Dalton Myhr, Craig Gustafson, Brian Gustafson, and Jon Webb. Honorary Casket Bearers were all of Louella?s Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria www.andersonfuneral.net
