Lowell Timm

Lowell Timm was born on October 15, 1931, the son of Max A. and Eleonora Timm in Posen Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was baptized, attended parochial elementary school and was confirmed at St. Luke?s Lutheran Church in Posen Township, Wood Lake, Minnesota. He graduated from Wood Lake High School and several years after graduation served his country in the US Army as a Communications Chief in Korea. In 1954, Lowell was united in marriage to Shirley Bode of Echo, Minnesota. He owned and operated farms in Posen Township near Wood Lake, Minnesota and at Audubon, MN for twenty-six years. The Timms retired in 1995, and moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas. In 2004, Lowell and Shirley moved back to their present location in Carlos. Lowell was very active in his church serving in numerous positions. He served as the Secretary and Membership Chairman for the Lutheran Layman?s League of the Minnesota North District for eight years. Also, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod of the Minnesota North District for 8 years. On March 2, 2008, Lowell died at the age of 76 years, 4 months, 16 days. He is survived by his wife, Shirley of Carlos; five children: Robert Timm of Starbuck, JoAnn Siverling of Grand Meadow, MN, David Timm of Carlos, Paul Timm of Bloomington, MN, Kenneth Timm of Duluth, MN, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Orland, one sister, Lorraine and three infant brothers and sisters. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008, 1:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Petersen officiating. Burial will be at St. Luke?s Cemetery in Wood Lake, Minnesota. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home.
