LuAnn Carlson

LuAnn Mae Koehntop Carlson was born on February 25, 1939, in Morris, Minnesota the daughter of David and Meta (Abel) Koehntop. Meta died when LuAnn was only two years old and David remarried and LuAnn loved her step mom, Esther who raised her and loved LuAnn like she was her own daughter ? they were very close. She graduated from Morris High School and furthered her education attending Minneapolis Business School . LuAnn worked for the Railroad for several years in Payroll and will be remembered for being exact ? down to the last penny. She also worked for Douglas County Hospital for housekeeping in the Operating Room and then worked for the Dietary Dept. at the Hoffman Care Center. LuAnn loved to embroider and watch the Minnesota Lynx and Wild with her son, Scott. LuAnn died on Sunday, December 8, 2013. She is survived by her three children: Sharon, Cindy, Scott; granddaughter, Jessica. She was preceded in death by her parents: David & Meta and step-mom, Esther. A graveside service was held on Friday, December 13, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at the Emmanuel Cemetery in Swan Lake Township. Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home. www.andersonfuneral.net
