Lynnette Louise Schmidt was born on March 27, 1962 at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in Alexandria to James and Phyllis (Wild) Schmidt. She graduated from Osakis High School in 1980 and attended Alexandria Technical College for clerical and accounting. Lynnette worked a variety of jobs at many retail stores in Alexandria. Lynnette was an avid craftsperson and loved collecting antiques. These hobbies started into business with Lynne?s Craftique and Lynne?s Odds n Ends. Lynnette also enjoyed quilting, flower and vegetable gardening, canning, motorcycle riding and her cat, Squirrel. She loved being with her family and friends, and was a proud grandmother of Tilly. Lynnette died on Friday, April 26, 2013 at her home at the age of 51. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Jennifer (Nathan) Appleton of Milwaukee and Lindsey (Shawn) Collins of Gilroy, CA; son, Kristopher Thiel of Lehr, ND; granddaughter, Tilly Appleton; mother, Phyllis Schmidt of Osakis; siblings, Fayette (James) Tennoff of Osakis, Cheryl (Schmidt) Reynolds of Redwood Falls; Mary Jo (Robert) Walsh of Osakis, Michael (Romana) Schmidt of Carlos, Dennis Schmidt of Osakis and Danita (Kyle) Ward of Farwell; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Lynnette is preceded in death by her father, James Schmidt and nephew, Peter Chmelar. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria with Reverend Father Dave Petron officiating. Inurnment was in Calvary Cemetery in Osakis. Honorary urn bearers were Lynnette?s brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria
