MARGARET E. GUENTHER Margaret Elaine Guenther was born on November 26, 1927, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Martin and Mildred (Tauscher) Krammer. She graduated from high school in St. Paul and then married John Kasel. Together they had three children: David, Bonnie, and Donna. John died in 1962. Margaret met Kenneth Guenther and together they were married on February 14, 1963 in St. Paul, MN. Together they had three children: Ted, Emily, and Terese. Margaret and her family lived in West St. Paul, MN until 1974 when they moved to Alexandria, MN. Margaret took care of others before herself and always had a loving watchful eye on her special needs daughter Donna. Margaret was a homemaker throughout her life, who enjoyed baking, cooking, and gardening. She also enjoyed crocheting, and volunteering her time at the Douglas County Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Margaret was currently on the Board of the Alexandria Opportunity Center, a past Board member of County Committee Of Aging, and also Past President of the Senior Club in Osakis, MN. Margaret was also instrumental in organizing Danny?s Week, a week long camp for special needs people. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Margaret E. Guenther died on Monday, June 29, 2009 at the St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 81 years. She is survived by her husband of 46 years Kenneth Guenther of Alexandria; children Bonnie (Jim) Erickson of Eagan, MN; Donna Kasel of Alexandria; Ted (Luann) Guenther of Glenwood, MN; Emily Meyer (Don Erickson) of Apple Valley, MN; Terese (Wayne) Geiger of St. Paul Park, MN; grandchildren; great grandchildren; brother Jerry (Rose) Krammer of St. Paul, MN; sister Jackie (Chuck) Lucas of Grandview, ID; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; son David Kasel; one great granddaughter; and mother-in-law Esther Anderson. A Memorial Mass was held on Friday, July 3, 2009 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church with the Reverend Steve Binsfeld officiating. Interment was in the St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery in Alexandria. Honorary Pallbearers were all of Margaret?s family. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. www.andersonfuneral.net
