Margaret Ondracek

Margaret Jeanette was born on May 28, 1921, in Belle River Township, the daughter of Albin and Jennie Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed at Spruce Hill Church and she and Lowell Christianson were the only lifetime members of the Spruce Hill/Faith Lutheran Church. Margaret attended Country School through the 8th grade. Margaret was united in marriage to David Ondracek on October 22, 1944 at her parents home. To this union six children were born. While her children were growing up she taught Sunday School and was always concerned about her kids. Margaret will be remembered as a mother who always supported your decisions and excepted her children and in-laws as they were. Mrs. Ondracek loved making crafts, quilts, and made several birthday and wedding cakes. Her Swedish meatballs were the best in town. Margaret died on Sunday, January 24, 2010, at the Bethany Home. She is survived by her children: John & Priscilla of Elk River; Inez & Val Roberts of Long Prairie, Ralph & Lisa of Elk River, Jim & Nancy of Farwell, Janice & Marvin Wunderlich of Garfield, Laurie & Jeffry Reis of Alexandria; eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two great great granchildren; brother, Harold & Lillian Anderson of Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her husband, David; parents.
