Margaret Ann was born on March 14, 1926, in St. Peter, Minnesota, the daughter of Reuben and Anna (Brandt) Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran. Margaret graduated from High School in St. Peter and was salutatorian of her class. After graduation she worked in Minneapolis where she met Dayton Williamson ? it was love at first sight. The couple was married on June 28, 1946 in St. Peter. After their marriage the couple lived in Minneapolis for four years before moving to Bloomington where they raised their six children. While living in Bloomington Margaret was very involved with her church, Christ the King Lutheran Church. She was a part of the Woman?s Circle, Wedding Ring Circle, nursery school and vacation bible school. Margaret also volunteered at the elementary school in the lunch room. After her children were grown Margaret worked as a secretary for Honeywell until 1986. The couple moved to Mound where they lived for twelve years before moving to Brainerd and then eventually to Alexandria to be closer to family. Margaret will be remembered for her positive attitude, a very giving and caring person who had a wonderful smile. She also had a gift for gab and a tremendous memory. She will be greatly missed. Margaret died on Thursday, March 20, 2014. She is survived by husband, Dayton; Children: Bruce of Spring Park, MN, Kristy Kirch of Golden Valley, MN, Keith (Lynn) of Alexandria, MN, Sharon (Rick) Frank of Naples, FL, Carole (Nick) Peterson of Broomfield, CO, David of Alexandria; 7 grandchildren: Jennifer, Dan, Steven, Susan, Heather, Elisa, Emily; 2 great grandchildren: Maxwell & Alex. Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014, 1:00 PM at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria. In Lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Hospice of Douglas County or Abbott Northwestern Heart Institute. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home. www.andersonfuneral.net
