OBITUARY Marian B. (Geohring) Sypnieski age 79 of Alexandria died on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Knute Nelson Nursing Home in Alexandria. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 2, 2009 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bismarck, ND at 10AM with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. A visitation will be held in Alexandria, MN on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM with a 1PM Prayer Service at Knute Nelson in Alexandria. Interment will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, ND. Casket Bearers are Mark Braun, Gary Jacobson, Stanley Dolbinski, Gene Hofer, and Clement Gerhardt. Honorary Casket Bearers were Marian?s Grandsons Carter, Collin, and Cody Erickson and Marian?s Sorority Sisters of Alpa Pi Omega Ellen Patzman, Vi Spitzer, Vi Nicola, Fran Loettke, Evelyn Skaff, Donna Johnson, and Rosemary Sieracki. Marian is survived by her husband of 55 years Edward Sypnieski; daughter Celeste and husband Craig Erickson; three grandchildren Carter, Collin and Cody; one sister Mathilda Hofer Flemmes of Turtle Lake, ND; one brother in-law Vincent Sypnieski; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Bismarck Area Catholic Education Foundation (BACEF), St. Mary?s School Endowment Fund of Alexandria, MN, or donors choice.
