Marilyn Ann Miller was born in Bowlus, MN on May 16, 1938. She was the youngest of twelve children born to Michael and Pauline (Klosowski) Stodolka. Marilyn attended the local high school and then helped her parents out on the farm and worked at Fingerhut for a few years. On a blind date in August of 1971, Marilyn met the love of her life, Paul J. Miller. Just over a year later, they were united in marriage on October 7, 1972, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN. Together they raised their two daughters, Pamela and Paula, in the home Paul built in Anoka, MN. In the Fall if 1995, Marilyn and Paul purchased lake property by Lake Ida in Alexandria MN, where they spent most weekends. They left the cities and moved up to Alexandria in the Spring of 2004, where Paul built their house. She enjoyed spending time with nieces and nephews at the lake and golf cart rides. She liked to eat at their local Leaf Valley Mercantile Bar & Grill, where Marilyn loved their ham and cheese balls and a good game of bingo.
Marilyn enjoyed the outdoors, mowing the yard with Paul, golf cart rides with her grandchildren, and tending to her flower gardens. She also enjoyed collecting dolls and angels, making cookies and bars for her family and her famous hotdish for family reunions. Marilyn was a feisty and spunky woman, enjoyed a good waltz or polka. She was always protective of her family and wanted to make sure everyone was well taken care of. She was the happiest when her family was with her. Marilyn will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
