Marilyn June Myers

Marilyn June Myers was born on June 28, 1935, in Fargo, North Dakota, the daughter of Norman and Alma (Beseman) Heinen. The family moved to Plainview, Minnesota in 1941. Marilyn graduated from Plainview High School in 1953 and on June 3, 1956, Marilyn married her high school sweetheart, Ray Myers.

Marilyn taught sixth grade in Minnesota, Maryland, and Iowa. She and Ray moved to Alexandria in 1976 where she worked as a bookkeeper at Ferrellgas until retirement in 1997.

Marilyn enjoyed camping, reading, bowling and her cats.

Marilyn died on Monday, March 10, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ray.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Shalom Lutheran Church with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Kinkead Cemetery.
