Marion Louise (Dobberpuhl) (Kuhne) Dahlke was born on September 18, 1936, to Henry and Louise (Drussell) Dobberpuhl in Carlos Township. She attended school at District 36, Zion Lutheran School, and Central High School.
After high school, Marion was united in marriage to Arnold Kuhne on May 21, 1955, at Zion Lutheran Church. They were blessed with two daughters, Linda and Laura. In 1960, Arnold tragically died in a road construction accident. On July 15, 1967, Marion married Kenneth Dahlke at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton, MN. They loved whist card club parties for 22 years and farmed near Carlos for 33 years before Marion moved to the Senator in Alexandria. She worked in food service at Carlos Elementary School for 15 years and she and Kenneth owned and operated the “O.K.” Lunch Wagon at auction sales for 18 years. They were active members of Trinity Lutheran Church where she faithfully served in the ladies aid group. Marion and Kenneth loved taking their grandchildren to their lake place near Pine River, MN and enjoyed RV camping with the Vikingland Good Sam’s Chapter.
Marion loved to garden, celebrate the holidays, and spend time with her family & friends. She was an amazing hostess who never let a guest leave hungry. Marion was organized and was known to always have a list or two to keep everything in order. She was a loving mom, grandma, and GG who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Marion Louise Dahlke passed away on October 23, 2022, at Grace Pointe Crossing in Cambridge, MN at the age of 86. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Dan) Sundgaard and Laura (Art) Capp; grandchildren, Nicholas Sundgaard, Mitchell (Marleen) Sundgaard, Maria (Mauricio) Segovia, Karen (Samuel) Strassburg, Heidi (Cory) Haskamp, and Brad (Angie) Capp; great-grandchildren, Zacarias Sundgaard, Marcelo and Madeline Segovia, Seth, Zoey, and Levi Strassburg, Joycelyn and Nadalie Capp;. Marion is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Arnold Kuhne; second husband, Kenneth Dahlke; brother, Marvin (Fyrn) Dobberpuhl; sister, Frances (Ted) Hedlof.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Anderson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Anderson Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service and lunch following. Interment at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Carlos, MN.
