OBITUARY Marion Lorraine Herrlinger was born on July 7, 1939 in Malden, Massachusetts the daughter of Walter and Agnes (Andrew) Mullett. Marion attended school in Malden and then worked for Schraft Candy Company in Massachusetts for about five years. Then along came a sailor who promised to take her out of the big city and make her his wife. Marion married Gary Herrlinger on April 7, 1965. They had a daughter Theresa and together they moved first to Maine then all along the East coast and to Guam throughout Gary?s naval career. Marion and her family finally settled in Alexandria in 1977. Marion worked for almost 25 years with the Douglas County Public Health as a nurse?s aide. She cared for many patients throughout those years retiring in 2004. Marion?s focus in her life was her family. She cherished the time she spent with them and always enjoyed a trip to the casino now and again. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Marion L. Herrlinger died on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at the Douglas County Hospital at the age of 74 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Gary Herrlinger of Alexandria; daughter Theresa Keller of Alexandria; grandchildren Keith James of Eagan, MN, Wayne Keller of Alexandria and Jessica Keller of Alexandria; great granddaughter Brooke James of Eagan, MN; and a brother Johnny (Helen) Mullett of Scarborough, Maine; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Walter and Freddie, and sister Agnes Niles. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Father Bob Kieffer officiating. Casket Bearers were Diane Niles, Esther Sandau, Lois Johnson, Wayne Keller, Jessica Keller, Jenell Herrlinger, Jim Benedict, and Glen Herrlinger.
