Marjorie “Marge” Pitcher was born on March 14, 1941, in Bertha, Minnesota the daughter of Wayne and Azalia (King) McIntire. She grew up in Bertha and graduated from Bertha High School in 1959.
Marge married Kenneth Pitcher on December 24, 1959 at the Church of God in Bertha. To this union four children were born. The Pitcher family lived in Wadena, Hewitt, Indiana, and then Glenwood. Marge worked as a secretary for GMC, Parts Makers, IDS, and retired from Ameriprise.
She enjoyed quilting, baking, sewing, gardening, traveling, playing cards and some of the greatest memories were made camping with family and friends.
Marge died on Tuesday, February 6, 2018. She is survived by her husband, Ken; children: Randy (Cindy) of Bertha, Steve (Kelly) of Melrose, Mark (Lorene) of Carlos, Sandra Pitcher (Ron) of Amazonia, MO; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, brothers: Don (Carol) McIntire of Hewitt, Jim (Donna) McIntire of Zumbrota; sister, Janice (Cliff) Braschler of Branson, MO; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by parents: Wayne & Azalia.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Alexandria. Burial will be at the Hewitt Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9th from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home and then one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. In lIeu of flowers memorial preferred to Knute Nelson, Multiple Myeloma Foundation, Trails for Treatment.
