Mark Alan Johnson, the son of Raymond and Jean (Olson) Johnson, was born on July 6, 1958, in Alexandria, MN. He grew up on the family farm in Brandon Township, and loved farming with his Dad. Mark was baptized and confirmed at East Moe Lutheran Church. He graduated from Brandon High School. Mark and his Dad, Ray had a special relationship working together on the farm. Mark loved driving John Deere tractors but was especially proud of his Husqvarna lawn tractor and his car.
Mark enjoyed working at Arrowwood years ago, helping set up for banquets and was proud of being selected employee of the month. He enjoyed eating out at Traveler’s Inn, watching TV (the more channels the better) and was an avid sports fan. He loved the Minnesota Vikings, Twins, Gophers and the Lynx. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and model tractors.
Mark loved being with his family. He was blessed to be able to live with his parents on the farm and helped take care of them later in their lives. He was also blessed to have sisters that he loved, and his brothers-in-law. He always remembered people for their kindness toward him. Mark will be remembered for all the blessings he brought to the Johnson family, East Moe Lutheran Church, and his friends.
A special thank you for the wonderful care Mark received from Dr. Jamie Pelzel, Dr. George Kryder, Hospice of Douglas County, and all the staff at Evansville Care Campus Assisted Living.
