OBITUARY Marlyn (Lynn) Laverna Lubben was born on March 10, 1929 to Jonas and Florence (Ekstrom) Holm in a farmhouse in rural New Effington, South Dakota. She was the oldest of eight children. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith at Walla Lutheran Church in rural New Effington, SD. She grew up and went to a country school in Victor, SD, Rosholt High School, and W.C.S.A. in Morris, MN. Marlyn worked as a clerk in a grocery store in Wheaton, MN, where she met Albert Lubben. They were married on March 20, 1948. To this union they were blessed with four daughters Diane, Judy, Brenda, and Renae. They lived and farmed near Norcross, Tintah, and Barrett, MN. Marlyn worked as a Nurses Aide for 12 years at the Hoffman Nursing Home. In 2000 they moved to Alexandria, MN and bought a town home. They were members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Lynn's big smiles and hugs gave her family and friends much joy. Marlyn L. Lubben died on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at her home at the age of 83 years old. She is survived by her three daughters Judy (Rick) Fabian of St. Cloud, MN; Brenda (Ron) Snartland of Mesa, AZ; and Renae (Mel) Morse of Alexandria, MN; son-in-law Larry Bugbee of St. Cloud, MN; seven grandchildren Dana (Todd) Berg of Stillwater, MN; Matt (Joanna) Bugbee of Otsego, MN; Tracy (Paul) Hedstrom of Hoffman, MN; Erin (Bryan) Roe of Sauk Rapids, MN; Sam (Sara) Bugbee of St. Paul, MN; Andy Morse of Carlos, MN; and Sara (Neil) Keane of St. Paul, MN; 13 great grandchildren; sister Delphine (Gary) Hermanson of Mesa, AZ; three brothers Dallas (DeLoris) Holm Blaine, MN; Gordon (Linda) Holm of Pearland, TX; and Ron (Margie) Holm of Kerrville, TX; sister-in-law Judy Holm of Broussard, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Albert Lubben; daughter Diane Bugbee; granddaughter Chris Fabian; sisters Ardell Holm and Arlett Gabbert; brother Eldean Holm. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alexandria, MN with the Reverend Eric Van Scharrel officiating. Interment was in the Wildwood Cemetery in Wheaton, MN. Pallbearers were her grandchildren. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria www.andersonfuneral.net
