Martha Kohout

Martha Loris Kohout Martha Kohout completed her life July 12, 2012. Martha was born March 6, 1937 to Helen and Hershel Walker in Boston, MA. She was a graduate of LeMars, Iowa, High School, 1954, and of the Methodist School of Nursing, Sioux City, Iowa, in 1957. Martha married Tom Kohout in September of 1957 in LeMars. They moved to Orange City, IA in 1968. While living in Orange City she was active in Dover Avenue Alliance Church and with Hospice of Sioux County. Tom and Martha have made their home in Alexandria, MN for the past 20 years, where Martha was a member of New Life Christian Church. Tom and Martha raised 5 children Anne (Kohout) VanderHaar ? Phil; David Kohout ? Lesli; Charles Kohout ? Hope; Robert Kohout ? Mary; J. Samuel Kohout ? Kelly. There are 13 grand-children and 3 great-grand-children. Martha was also blessed with a sister, Judy Walker Schroeder and a brother, Donald Walker. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 16, 2012, at the New Life Christian Church in Alexnadria, Minnesota, with Rev. John Taplin officiating.
