Marvin Osterman

Marvin David Osterman, Beloved Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, age 83 passed to the arms of our Father, Lord and Savior on August 28, 2013. Marvin was preceded in death by parents, Martin & Aurelia Osterman, siblings John (Clara) Osterman, Lyle (Jane) Osterman, and sister?s Evelyn Osterman and Julia (Frank) Jacobs. Also preceding him were three wonderful wives, Marion Quinn (Scotland), Lois Winjie (Appleton), Ruth Stengal (Montevideo) and son, David Osterman. Marvin Osterman was born November 21, 1929 To Martin and Aurelia Osterman in Wheaton, MN where he graduated from Wheaton High School and then into the Navy. After the Navy, he worked in farming, construction, at the grain elevator, and as local policeman. He loved to hunt and fish. Marvin was living in Alexandria at Knute Nelson Nursing Home at the time of his death. He was an active member of the Knute Nelson Chapel. Marvin is survived by daughters Linda Gariepy of Montevideo, Evelyn Proudfoot of Mentone, CA, Paula (Tim) Davidson of Hillman, MN, and Deborah (Hermann) Weber of Rialto, CA, 11 grandchildren , Paul Byre, Juanita Knuteson, Joshua Proudfoot, Brock Proudfoot, Megan Proudfoot, Chris Pesek, Jaime Pesek, Matt Pesek, Alison Vorhees, Johnny Stegall III, and Jason Stegall, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces nephews and cousins.
