Marvin Schultz

Marvin was born on October 9, 1930 in Brandon, Minnesota the son of Robert and Petrea Schultz. He graduated from Evansville High School. After graduation he worked on his family farm. Marvin served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged on October 15, 1953. He returned to the Brandon area after the war. Marvin was united in marriage to Virginia Ahmann on October 28, 1955. To this union two daughters were born: Diane and Kathleen. Marvin loved keeping busy with the different chores on the farm. He also enjoyed working for Glen Zebarth on his Elk Farm. Marvin and Viginia liked to do some traveling. Mr. Schultz died on Friday, June 6, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; daughters Diane of Bloomington, Kathleen of Brandon; sister, Evelyn (Fred) Westerman of Brooklyn Park; three sister-in-laws: Dorothy, Dorothy, Gwen. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Alfred, Harold, Earl and Bobby Funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church with Father Steve Binsfeld officiating. Military Honors were by American Legion Post #278. Pallbearers were Glen Zebarth, Paul Thoennes, LeRoy Buse, Derek Buse, Brent Johnson, Douglas Lee. Burial was at St. Mary?s Cemetery in Alexandria. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home.
