Marvin Lawrence Steidl, the son of Kenneth and Mary (Kreemer) Steidl, was born on December 6, 1929 in Carlos, MN. Marvin attended District #92 country school until the eighth grade. He then helped his father on the farm until he enlisted on March 15, 1954 in Minneapolis, MN. Marvin served in the United States Army until March 14, 1956 and then in the Army Reserve for eight more years.
Marvin moved back to Carlos and continued to farm with his father and brother Gerald. Marvin loved driving around the countryside, looking at crops and visiting with his friends and neighbors and caring for his beef cattle. Marvin lived at St. Williams Living Center for the past four years. He will be forever in the memories of his loving family and friends.
Marvin L. Steidl died on Monday, April 2, 2018 at the St. Williams Living Center in Parkers Prairie, MN at the age of 88 years old. He is survived by his brother, Gerald (Christine) Steidl of Carlos; sisters, Louise Zimmel of Alexandria and Diane (Darrell) Botzet of Plymouth, MN; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Ronald Steidl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 11 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Belle River, MN.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the mass at the church on Friday.
Inurnment will be in the church cemetery.
