She was raised and attended grade school in Minneapolis and returned to South High School in her thirties to finish and obtain her high school diploma. Mary was married to Terrance Dibley; to this union four children were born. From 1975 to 1994, Mary was a MTC bus system driver; her badge number was 1119.
