Mary Eileen Green was born July 21, 1956 in Perham, MN, the daughter of John and Leocadia (Dulski) Dombeck. She grew up on the family dairy farm north of Little Pine Lake near Perham. Mary graduated from Perham High School and continued her education at Wadena Vocational School. Mary worked at the Alexandria Echo Press newspaper for thirty-one years. She was an ad designer and received numerous awards from the Minnesota Newspaper Association for her work. Mary enjoyed her job and the people she worked with. Mary married the love of her life, Scott Green, November 27, 1982. The couple made their home in Alexandria, MN. Mary cared deeply about family and was a loving mother to two sons, Trevor and Blaine. Mary had a love for horses and raised several at their Alexandria hobby farm. Riding and showing her horses gave her great joy. She belonged to several saddle clubs including the Minnewaska Riders. Mary had a passion for reading and enjoyed visiting the local library. Mary was also an excellent cook and learned her cooking skills from her mother. On November 19, 2013 Mary died peacefully at home at the age of fifty-seven years. Her parents and sister, Deanna Lehmen preceded her in death. Mary is survived by her loving husband Scott Green of Alexandria Township; two sons, Trevor Green and friend, Emily Hauser, of Alexandria and Blaine Green and wife, Joanna, of Fargo, ND; three brothers, Mike Dombeck and wife, Sandy, of Perham, Mark Dombeck and friend, Jeanette Ryker, of Perham and Joseph Dombeck of Norwood, MN; two sisters, Virginia Nesges and husband, David, of New York Mills, MN and Renee Snyder and husband, Larry DeWald, of New York Mills; sister-in-law, Sue Wandri and husband, Richard, of Perham; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Shalom Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Reverend Grant Aaseng will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM Friday at the Anderson Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service at church. Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home.
