Mary Krump

Mary was born on May 15, 1934, in Blue Earth County, Minnesota, the daughter of Fredrick and Mae (Gettis) Reed. She was baptized St Theresa?s Catholic Church in Mapleton, MN and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frazee, MN Mary graduated from Frazee High School. Mary was united in marriage to Charles A. Krump on June 11, 1956 in Minneapolis, MN. To this union five daughters were born. After many years of staying home with the girls she pursued furthering her education at the College of St. Benedicts in St. Joe. Mary received her degree and became Director of the Religious Education Department at St. Mary?s in Alexandria. She was a volunteer with the Eldercare Network, Brownie & Girl Scout Leader, and served on the Board of the United Way. She will be remembered as a caring wife, loving mother of five daughters. She loved to laugh with friends and family, had a gracious heart and was very accepting of others. The family would like to thank Prairie Senior Cottages for their excellent care and her strong circle of friends for their undying love. Mrs. Krump died on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 in Castle Rock, Colorado. She is survived by five daughters: Carol (Terry) Bohrer of Castle Rock, CO, Sharon (Mark) Litch of Parker, CO, Krista (Joe) Cassidy of Maple Grove, MN, Diane (Steve) Lange of Parker, CO, Laura (Rick) Wagner of Minnetonka, MN; fifteen grandchildren, three brothers: Jack & Margaret Reed,Sister-in-law Theresa, Joe & Diane Reed, Frank & Vivian Reed; sister, Tillie & Gordon Bart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; parents, brothers: Loren, Paul, and Don; sister, Glyda. Prayer service was held on Monday, July 28, 2008, 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church with Rev. Steve Binsfeld officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary?s Cemetery in Alexandria. Arrangements are with Anderson Funeral Home.
