Mary Lynn Celine (Turley) Yarnott was born on November 29, 1944 in Chicago, IL to Thomas and Florence (Janke) Turley. She graduated from Oak Park High School in Oak Park, IL. Mary Lynn went to work as a filing clerk for Western Electric Company in Cicero, IL. On February 27, 1965 Mary Lynn was united in marriage to Joseph Yarnott in Oak Park, IL. The couple made their home in Franklin Park, IL. To this union the couple was blessed with three children. Mary Lynn was a homemaker while the children were young and also started a daycare. In 1969, the family moved to the Twin Cities. Mary Lynn attended Anoka Technical College and earned an AA degree in Occupational Therapy in 1991. The couple moved to Alexandria in 1992. Mary Lynn went to work for Rehab Dynamics where she went to the Evansville and Hoffman Nursing Homes helping with therapy and retired in 1994. Mary Lynn enjoyed camping, hiking and going up to the North Shore. She also enjoyed volunteering with Elder Care. Mary Lynn died on January 21, 2014 at Knute Nelson in Alexandria at the age of 69. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Yarnott; son, Joseph Jr. (Jennifer) Yarnott; daughters, Irene Yarnott of St. Paul and Katherine (Steve) Lowry of Washington D.C.; brother, Patrick (Muriel) Turley of Barrington, IL; sisters, Bernice Ramis of Gurnee, IL, Bonnie Hart of Ottawa, IL, Sandra (Michael) Saad of Winfield, IL, an Florence Reid of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Alissa Bray, Samantha Bray, Kaitlyn Yarnott, Courtney Yarnott, Conner Yarnott and Logan Yarnott; great-grandchild Payton Bray; and many nieces and nephews. Mary Lynn is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Florence. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria
