MaryAnn Hannah (Cuff) LeGrand was born in New York City, NY on November 8, 1942 to James and Anastasia (Kossey) Cuff. The family moved to Philadelphia when MaryAnn was 8 years old and her father opened Cuff?s Bar. She graduated from High School in Philadelphia, PA. She worked for S&H Green Stamps and did secretarial work for a lawyer in Philadelphia. Mary Ann was united in marriage to Carl LeGrand on May 4, 1985 in Fort Meyers, FL. The couple moved to South Carolina in 1998 and then to Alexandria in 2004. MaryAnn was a waitress for 33 years and spent many of those years training waitresses for Denny?s Restaurant. MaryAnn was one of the original dancers for American Band Stand from 1956 to 1961. It aired nationally in 1957 with Dick Clark hosting the show.. She enjoyed camping, fishing, making crafts and cooking, especially Italian food. She enjoyed people especially her family and her grandchildren. MaryAnn died on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Bethany Home in Alexandria at the age of 68. She is survived by her husband Carl; sister, Sandy Aderski; daughters, Debbie and Deanna; sons, Bobby and Billy; step-daughters, Darlya, Carlya, and Stacy; step-son, Curt; and 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. MaryAnn was preceded in death by her parents, James and Anastasia; three brothers; and a grandson, Weston. A memorial service was held on December 7, 2010 at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Cindy Lou Schmidt officiating. Music was provided by Gregg and Sari Buran. Honorary urn bearers were Ross Lee, Tom Price, Jeremy Price, Nic Lemm, Jesse LeGrand, and Ryan Lee. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
