MaryAnne (Peg) (Okins) Rossow of Hoffman, MN, formerly of Revere, MN, passed away July 12th at St. Cloud Hospital. Funeral Services to be held at Zion Lutheran Church of Hoffman, MN on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation is at Anderson Funeral Home of Alexandria, MN on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 5-7 PM. Interment at a later date in Redwood Falls Cemetery.

MaryAnne (Peg) Rossow, 81, of Hoffman, MN, beloved wife of Richard J. Rossow for 62 years, passed away surrounded by her family on July 12, 2015.

MaryAnne was born on December 6, 1933, in Revere, MN to Charley and Edith (Wise) Okins. It was there that she spent her childhood. Later, she attended and graduated from Lamberton High School where she excelled as head cheerleader and was voted Homecoming Queen in 1951.

On June 20, 1953, she married her sweetheart Richard (Dick) Rossow and then moved to Alexandria, Va. To be with him during his military service. Following Dick’s discharge, the couple moved to Brookings, SD where MaryAnne worked as a bookkeeper in the SDSU Library while Dick attended college. After graduation, they made their home in Astoria, SD, followed by Cottonwood, MN, and finally came to live in Hoffman, MN. It was there that the couple raised their four daughters.

Throughout her life MaryAnne shared with her family and friends her love of gardening, golfing, bowling, playing cards, reading and dancing. An avid Twins fan, she faithfully watched their games. She could also often be heard singing and playing on her keyboard, which gave her great pleasure.

During her retirement, MaryAnne spent her winters at her home in Florence, AZ, where she was very active enjoying the outdoors and socializing with many loving friends. Her love and zest for life will be missed by all.

MaryAnne shared her strong faith in the Lord with her loving family. She is survived by her husband Richard; her daughters, Kelly Troe, Patricia (Bennett) Nielsen, Jacqueline (Brian) Frank, Valerie Rossow; grandchildren, Jon Troe, Naomi Troe, Paul Oellien, Spencer Oellien, Hannah (Mike) Oelien-Covey, Devyn Frank; great-grandson Tatum Covey; her sisters and brother; many nieces and nephews; and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 17, at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church of Hoffman. Visitation will be Thursday evening, July 16, from 5-7 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, MN. Interment will be held Monday, July 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Falls Cemetery in Redwood Falls, MN.
