MATTHEW A. BAUMANN Matthew Allan Baumann was born on January 23, 1981 in Alexandria, MN, the son of Bruce and Mary Baumann. He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Matt graduated from Jefferson High School in 1999 and continued his education at the Alexandria Technical College where he graduated in 2001 in the Machine Tool and Die Program. Matt was employed with Klimek Brothers Well Drilling for the past six years as a service technician. Matt married Brandee Ann Guenther on October 13, 2001 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Alexandria. Brandee has been Matt?s high school sweetheart since the 10th grade and together they have two wonderful children Nathan five years old and Karlee two years old. Matt loved his soul mate and especially his children. He always took time after a long day to play with his son and daughter. When Matt was away from home he would talk to or text Brandee on his cell phone to see how her day was. Matt recently spent a week at Captiva Island, Florida for an unforgettable vacation with his wife and children. Matt was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being outdoors with his children and took pride in teaching his son to be good sportsmen. Matt liked four-wheeling, dirt biking, and working on demo derby cars with his brother and dad. He also liked helping his friend with his racecar from 1998-2001. Matt was always fun to be around. He liked to make jokes, tease his family and friends and was a ?to the point? type of a guy. Matt was a hardworking and responsible man, who took pride in the things he accomplished. He was also very loyal to his friends and enjoyed the time he spent with them. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Matthew A. Baumann died on Sunday, November 30, 2008 along with his good friend and hunting buddy Rick Klimek as the result of an auto accident near Amery, WI. Matt is survived by his loving wife of 7 years Brandee Ann Baumann of Alexandria; his children Nathan Donald Baumann and Karlee Elizabeth Baumann of Alexandria; parents Bruce and Mary Baumann of Alexandria; brother Mitch Baumann of Alexandria; mother in-law Germaine and Stephen Beers of Alexandria; father?in-law Mark and Lynne Guenther of Brooklyn Park, MN; sisters-in-law Rachael Beers of Alexandria and Shannon Guenther of Brooklyn Park; brothers-in-law Ryan Beers of Alexandria, and Brent and Kelly Guenther of Miltona; Godchildren Myrissa Guenther of Miltona and Jakeb Hansen of Wahiawa, HI; grandparents Mary E. Dougherty of Oaklyn, NJ, Jerome and Delleen Klimek of Garfield, and Barb Beers of Alexandria; many aunts, uncles, cousins, two nieces, one nephew, and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Orville and Gertrude Baumann, Mel Clark, Harvey and Martha Guenther and Don Beers; uncle Burnie Baumann; cousin Kaela DeJesus; and good friend and hunting buddy Richard Klimek. A Funeral Service was held on Friday, December 5, 2008 at the Lake Geneva Christian Center in Alexandria. The Reverend Elaine Leone and Reverend Al Ludwig officiated and Diane Alveshere played the piano. Interment was in the Ebenezer Lutheran Cemetery near Leaf Valley, MN. Casket Bearers were Mitch Baumann, Adam Baumann, Brent Guenther, Ryan Beers, Justin Nieland, and Tony Carlson. Honorary Casket Bearers were Matt?s Co-workers from Klimek Brothers Well Drilling
