Megan Victoria was born on March 8, 1998 in Alexandria, Minnesota the daughter of Todd Carlson and Kristy (Thoennes) Carlson. She attended Discovery Middle School in Alexandria. In Megan?s short 13 years of life she will be remembered as an adventurous, colorful, strong and resilient person who loved babies and small kids. Her friends were very important to her and she was a ?social butterfly?. Megan loved music, to sing and dance. She was also involved in swimming, skiing and was a professional shopper. Her brothers will remember her fearlessness and she was mom?s little ?spit fire?. Megan died on Monday, February 20, 2012, as a result of an automobile accident. She is survived by her Mom: Kristy (Thoennes) Carlson of Alexandria; Dad: Todd (Melissa) Carlson of Garfield; brothers and sister: Zach, Tyler, Jacob, McKenzie; grandparents: Evald (Curly) & Nancy Carlson of Garfield, Karen & Robert (Bob) Thoennes of Brandon; uncle, Todd (Mary) Thoennes; aunts: Wanda Jo (Rich) Rogers, Kari (Chad) Heid, Marcy (Lewis) Roers, Kathy (Paul) Koetter; cousins: Ben & Katie Rogers, Jonah & Amelia Thoennes, Andrea & Charlie Heid, Olivia & Isaac Roers, Eric, RaeAnn, Gavin, Madalin Koetter; She was preceded in death by her great grandparents: Richard & Lorraine Kinney, Kenneth & Mabel Carlson, Walter & Bertha Woods, Lawrence Thoennes; uncle: Patrick Spear, Dale Carlson; cousins: Wendy (Carlson) Trainor, Tammy Carlson. Funeral services were held on Friday, March 2, 2012, 1:00 p.m. at Lake Community Church in Alexandria with Rev. Peter Reishus and Rev. Greg Billberg officiating. Readings and eulogies were by Kari Heid, Kathy Koetter, Jacob & McKenzie Carlson, Marcy Roers. Pallbearers were Zach Carlson, Tyler Carlson, Ben Rogers, Eric Koetter, Olivia Roers, Isaac Roers. Burial was at Kinkead Cemetery in Alexandria. Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home. www.andersonfuneral.net
