Michael Clayton Erickson

Michael Clayton Erickson was born on July 31, 1964, to Clayton and Cecile Erickson of Nelson, MN.  He was called to the Lord suddenly at his home on May 10, 2023.   “Mike, Big Mike, Pickle, Pete, Harry, or Kikel”, however you knew him, was the ultimate sportsman.  His love for hunting and fishing filled most of his free time followed on Sunday afternoons with watching NASCAR or taking a long ride on his Harley.  He was a proud patriot life member of the NRA, member of QDMA, UFFDA, and the Parkers Prairie Sportsman’s Club. 

Although Mike never married or had children, his love for his niece and nephews filled his heart with pride and joy.  He was generous with both his time and talents not just to his family, but to anyone who asked.  And if Mike called you a friend, you were also his family and you knew it. 

When it came to Mike, if there was a will, there for sure was a way.  By sheer will and determination he could do, make, or modify almost anything.  His creativity didn’t stop with a pencil and paper, it showed in almost everything he owned or cared for.  If something was difficult or didn’t run as it should, he could rig a way to make it easier or run better. 

Mike is preceded in death by his parents Clayton and Cecile Erickson.  He is survived by his younger siblings, KellyAnn (Darryl) Wilson, Christy (Brad) Revering, and Jason (Sara) Erickson.  His niece Adley Erickson and nephew Alden Erickson, and nephews, Zachary (Alexis, Wesley) Revering, Bryce Revering, Brady Revering, nephew in-law Dakotah Revering, along with several Aunts and Uncle, relatives, in-law relatives and a long line of friends.  We will miss his great bear hugs as only he could give.

Michael C. Erickson, of Nelson died on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, in his home at the age of 58 years old.

A Celebration of Mike’s Life will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 2 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Anderson Funeral Home on Saturday.

In Lieu of flowers, Memorials are preferred to one of Mike's favorite organizations; Ronald McDonald House or St. Judes.

Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory of Alexandria.
