OBITUARY
Michael Allen Hanson was born on August 30, 1961 in Fergus Falls, MN the son of Allen and Margaret (Melby) Hanson. Michael grew up in Fergus Falls, MN and attended First Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed. He graduated from Fergus Falls High School and then continued his education at Alexandria Technical College. Michael met Doris Larson in Rothsay, MN. They were united in marriage on June 15, 1985 in Ashby, MN. Together they lived in Pelican Rapids, MN for a couple of years and then moved near Holmes City, MN and raised their children.
Michael worked at Douglas Machine for over 25 years. He enjoyed hunting in Wadena, watching TV and relaxing at home with his family. Michael liked spending time in his garage working on all different kinds of projects.
Michael A. Hanson died on Monday, July 20, 2015 at his home at the age of 53 years old. He is survived by his wife Doris Hanson; sons Justin (Stephanie) Hanson, Chase Hanson, and Gage Hanson; daughters Meghan (Travis) Radford, Brittany (Todd) Hanson, Summer Hanson, and Cherish Hanson; grandson Riley Hanson; granddaughters Violet and Charlotte Radford; parents Allen and Margaret Hanson; brothers Dan (Theresa) Hanson and Darren (Denise) Hanson; and a sister Sandy (Kevin) Nehk. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Harold (Butch) Larson; grandparents Ralph and Mable Melby and Ingvald and Irene Hanson.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in the Van Loon Cemetery. Casket Bearers were Chase Hanson, Robert Hanson, Dan Hanson, Darren Hanson, Chris Nehk, and Kevin Nehk.
