Michael Dean Trainor

Michael “Mikey” Dean Trainor was born on February 2, 1952, to Lucille Kuhn in Centralia, IL. He grew up and attended school in Alexandria, MN. He worked and retired from TC American Monorail in Glenwood, MN working as a painter and welder. After retirement, Mikey began working at the Depot on the cleaning crew with his “second family”. Hunting and fishing was truly the anthem of Mikey’s life. He especially loved hunting and fishing with his brothers, grandchildren, and nephews. Mikey enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be most remembered for his contagious and distinct laugh. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mikey Trainor passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at his residence at the age of 71. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Howe; son, Blake (Tiffany) Benson; grandchildren, Kyla (Ryan) Spindler and Nolan and Dylan Bitzan; great grandchildren, Hayden, Emersyn, and Raelyn Spindler and Aria Bitzan; brothers, Dan (Darlene) Trainor, Steve (Becky) Trainor, Bob Brazel, and Brett (Karen) Brazel; sister, Georgia Trainor; and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mikey is preceded in death by his mom; and Aunt, Hyacinth Kuhn.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023. at the Depot from 2:00-5:00 PM.
