Micheal Gregor

March 5, 1946 — February 25, 2018

Micheal (Mike) Rapheal Gregor was born on March 5, 1946, in Fargo, North Dakota to Edward and Rachel (Kemple) Gregor.  He was baptized on June 30, 1946, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lisbon, North Dakota and confirmed on April 10, 1960 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.  Mike attended school in North Dakota and Minnesota, graduating from Fergus Falls High School on June 3, 1965.  After high school, Mike joined the US Air Force in November 1965.  He was stationed in Texas, California and Taiwan with temporary duty assignments to Thailand, Republic of the Philippines, Republic of Vietnam and Japan as a flying crew chief on a C-130.  He received a honorable discharged in March of 1969.  He then moved to Golden Valley, Minnesota where he was a construction sheet rocker in the Twin Cities area until June of 1970.

On November 15, 1969, Mike married Linda Reimnitz at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dimock, South Dakota.  They were blessed with two children Michelle and Brent.

Mike and Linda moved to Alexandria, Minnesota in 1970 where Mike worked at various jobs.  He was the Assistant Manager at Gibsons, glass/paint worker at Alex Glass & Paint and custodian for School District 206 until his stroke on September 11, 1975.

Mike was involved with the Viking Speedway for years and Selective TV as President/Vice President/Board Member.  He enjoyed reading (especially western paperbacks), could repair just about anything, crafted hand stamped leather items and was a lifetime member of the American Legion.

He was very courageous and never complained with all of his many health problems he had over the years.  He always said, “no one ever promised me a rose garden” and “if you can’t control it, forget about it.” He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mike died peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at St. Cloud Hospital.  He is survived by his wife, Linda Gregor of Alexandria; children: Michelle Beaudry of Elk River, Brent (Ashley) Gregor of Hastings; grandchildren: Lillie and Addison Beaudry of Elk River, Cole and Macie Gregor and Avery Schommer of Hastings; brother, Danny (Neoma) of Circle Pines;  sister-in-laws: Judy Gregor of Fergus Falls, Sharyn Gregor of St. Peter, MN; brother-in-law, Lyle (Marilyn) Reimnitz of Mt.
