Mildred Paurus

Mildred Elizabeth Paurus was born in Blueberry Township, Wadena County Minnesota on July 20, 1921 to Alexander and Margaret Granroth. She grew up in the Menahga area and attended school there. On May 9, 1945, Mildred married Clifford Paurus in New York Mills, Mn. Their first home was in West Palm Beach, Florida, while Cliff was in the military. After being discharged from the Army Air Corps, the couple returned to Minnesota and lived in Sebeka, where they raised their family. In 1970, they moved to Alexandria, where they remained after Cliifford?s retirement from Land O? Lakes. In 2004, Mildred moved to Byron, Mn. to live near her son David and his family. She died, with her family at her bedside at Prairie Meadows Assisted Living in Kasson, Mn., on December 10, 2008.
