Myna Jean Glena Krohnfeldt was born February 14, 1938, to Arthur and Doris (Ziesemer) Dreger. She was born on the family farm in Miltona Township. Myna was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She attended country school and rode to school in a horse drawn wagon.
Myna was united in marriage to Rupert Krohnfeldt on September 29, 1957 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Leaf Valley Township. They built a home in Ida Township and were blessed with four daughters. Myna helped Rupert on the farm and always made sure he and the girls had all they needed. In addition to working on the farm, Myna started a cleaning business and cleaned many private homes as well as resorts. She was offered a job in the maintenance department at Knute Nelson where she worked for 15 years before retiring. Later she did her most enjoyable work as a Nanny for several families and helping at a local daycare.
Myna's devotion to God was an important part of her life. She was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church where her and Rupert served as janitors for many years. She served on many committees, but her passion was teaching Sunday school and helping with Vacation Bible School. She touched so many children with her kind heart.
Myna's kind heart always shinned the brightest when it came to her Grandchildren. Every visit to her house was special. She always made time for them. Many hours were spent playing games outside, riding bike, hunting for Easter eggs, playing board games, cards and singing . But the best of all was knowing that there would be plenty of sweet baked goodies piled high and ready to eat. Especially on your birthday because she would bake your favorite treat.
Myna will be remembered as a kind hearted, compassionate soul who was always giving to everyone.
