OBITUARY
Myron Gale Sletto was born on November 28, 1941 in Alexandria, MN the son of Melvin and Edith (Botner) Sletto. He graduated from Evansville High school and then moved to Minneapolis where he worked at Dayton Department Store.
After a night at the roller skating rink and short drag race down Broadway Ave. Myron met his future wife Jean Sorenson. They were married on September 16, 1961 at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Two boys were born to this marriage, Randy and Galen.
Myron and Jean both worked at Honeywell for a short time before moving to Brandon. Myron then started working at 3M and retired after 31 years of employment. During their retirement Myron and Jean traveled around the country, visiting different places and finding a good polka dance to attend. Myron and Jean loved to polka dance and made many friends from all over the United States during those dances. Myron was a gardener and had one of the biggest gardens around Brandon. He worked hard which allowed him to provide many things for his family. He was proud of his sons and enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, and talking with each of them. Myron loved his old cars and tractors. Memories about Myron from his grandchildren are riding in his 67’ Ford Galaxy convertible, camping, bonfires, grilling and have a chicken feed over a wood fire. Myron will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
