Nancy Lou Lund was born May 8, 1941 in Alexandria, MN, the daughter of Norman and Evangeline (Lorenz) Lund. She was raised in Alexandria and graduated from Central High School. In the mid 1960?s Nancy was united in marriage to Herbert Floyd. Nancy was blessed with one child, Lisa. She made her home in Alexandria. Later Nancy became a resident at Bethel Manor and in 2007 she moved to Bethany Home where her mother is a resident. Nancy battled with breast cancer and colon cancer and survived both battles. She loved animals; especially cats and dogs. After moving to Bethany she decorated her room with a variety of stuffed animals. She enjoyed spending time playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and watching her television programs. Most of all Nancy loved to go for a drive though Douglas County; she was very familiar with all the back roads. On Thursday, May 8, 2014, her birthday, Nancy died at the age of seventy-three years. She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Lund. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Lisa Swanson and husband, Brian, of Sauk Centre, MN; her mother, Evangeline Lund of Alexandria; her sister, Mary Olson and husband, Charlie, of Alexandria; three grandchildren, Dale Andreoff, Noelle Andreoff, and Nora Andreoff; two great grandsons, Lucas Andreoff and Cooper Andreoff; one nephew, Jason Anderson; several cousins and aunts; her aunt and Godmother, Mabel Peterson; and her cousin and Godfather, Leighton Knutson. A funeral service was held Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Anderson Funeral Home. Reverend Scott Keehn was the officiant. Interment followed in the Kinkead Cemetery in Alexandria. Casket bearers included Charlie Olson, Brian Swanson, Jason Anderson Rodney Lorenz, Richard ?Woody? Erickson and Tim Swanson. Arrangements were with Anderson Funeral Home.
