OBITUARY Nelda Dolly Adams, daughter of Melvin and June (Kienlen) Adams, was born on July 16, 1946 in Clarissa, MN. She grew up on a farm in rural Long Prairie near Clotho, MN. Nelda graduated from Long Prairie High School in 1964 and then continued her education by graduating from Abbott School of Nursing in Minneapolis in 1968. She worked as an RN for Abbott Hospital and Jones Harrison Nursing Home. She also worked for various private health facilities. Nelda retired after suffering a stroke in 1989. She lived with many complications from her stroke for the last 25 years. Nelda liked to tend her garden at her home in Minneapolis and also the gardens at Bethany home. She enjoyed the Fine Arts and attended many concerts and events at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Nelda D. Adams died on Friday, February 14, 2014 at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria, MN at the age of 67 years old. She is survived by her sister Mardelle (Bruce) Arnold of Inver Grove Heights, MN; nephews Scot (Sonja) Arnold of Nashville, TN and Troy Arnold of Inver Grove Heights. She is also survived by her grandniece Skylar Arnold of Inver Grove Heights. She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and June Adams and her grandnephew James. A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the Alexandria New Life Christian Church with Preacher John Taplin officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Mound Cemetery near Clotho, MN. Honorary Casket Bearers were Bruce Arnold, Scot Arnold, Troy Arnold, Michael Flan, Peter Trick, and Dale Adams.
