Norbert F. Otto was born May 16, 1938 to Alfred and Helen (Ledermann) Otto in Alexandria, MN. Norbert was a graduate of Brandon High School and joined the Army shortly after. After his service he moved to Kenosha, WI. He worked at American Motors and he was a mechanic for a period of time. Norbert married Jean Askeris in 1962. To this union four children were born. Nobert moved to Brandon in 1987. He worked for Walmart and area farmers until retirement. Norbert enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching sports. Norbert died on Monday, October 1, 2012 at his home at the age of 74. Norbert is survived by four sons, Ronald, Jeffery, Richard and Jerry; 2 grandchildren; Raven Coil Otto and Teal Coil Otto; brothers, David (JoAnne), Clarence (Diane), Jim (Karen), Mike (Joannie); sisters, Bernadette (Arnie) Kluver, Joan (Harry) Davis, Kathy (Roger) Nowacki, and Jean McAuley; and many nieces and nephews; and ex-wife, Jeanne. Norbert is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Helen. A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at St. Ann?s Catholic Church in Brandon with Father LeRoy Scheierl and Deacon Joe Woods officiating. Music was provided by Kim Byrne. Military Honors were provided by the Brandon Legion Post 278 and the Minnesota National Honor Guard. Inurnment was in St. Ann?s Catholic Church Cemetery. Honorary urn bearers were Norbert?s grandchildren, Raven Coil-Otto, and Teal Coil-Otto and Norbert?s nieces and nephews. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria
