Norma Ann Goodman was born in Millersburg, Iowa on June 30, 1927 to George and Alice Goodman. She graduated from high school in North English, Iowa and married Quincy William (Bill) Lockridge on December 19, 1948. They farmed with their extended family on the Lockridge family farm until they bought their own farm and moved to Osakis, Minnesota in December, 1958.
Norma and Bill enjoyed playing cards and other games with friends and travelled south to Texas and Arizona in the winter. Norma was an excellent horseshoe player and had many trophies that she won in horseshoe tournaments. After Bill died in 1999, she married Don Aleckson in 2000. Don and Norma lived in Alexandria. They were active members of New Life Christian Church. Norma died on July 9, 2020 in Alexandria.
Norma is survived by her husband: Don Aleckson; two sons: Andrew (Nancy) Lockridge and Alan Lockridge; five grandchildren: Julie (Sean) St. Clair, David (Bridget) Lockridge, Jeffrey (Brittney) Lockridge, Randy (Samantha) Lockridge, and Charles (Emily) Lockridge; seven great-grandchildren: Andre and Tasha St. Clair, Lily and Leo Lockridge, Carson Ney, and Hailey and Adalyn Lockridge; and two sisters: Madelin Gott and Leona Hastie. She is preceded in death by her first husband: Quincy “Bill” Lockridge; her parents; her daughter-in-law: Eileen Lockridge; one sister: Velma; and one brother: Wesley.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020, 1:00 PM at the New Life Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the New Life Christian Church at 1910 County Road 82 SE, Alexandria, MN 56308.
